The extreme path
The starting point was the stop of the
M linea A SUBAUGUSTA
Through the Parco degli Acquedotti we reached the Via Appia Antica, which was then traveled in a southerly direction to S. Maria delle Mole, where the path in the last part, is quite uneven and has passages on Roman basalt and suitable narrow paths therefore to experienced drivers who, in addition to the difficulty of remaining in balance, also suffered from the great heat (> 37 °)
We then climbed up secondary roads up to Castel Gandolfo, to descend down to the shores of the lake, stopping for lunch at trattoria Ricciotti
with a terrace overlooking the lake, enjoying a great lunch.
After the vehicles were recharged, we made the complete tour of the lake on a mixed route and, after passing through the tunnel, we went down to Rome re-doing the reverse route to the S. Maria delle Mole railway station where we reached the station by train of Capannelle and crossing the park of the aqueducts, we returned to the Subaugusta metro.
